Se você tentar rodar as versões recentes do XBMC Gotham, no windows server, vai receber mensagem se ausência de uma DLL wlanapi.dll, para fixar este erro, proceda da seguinte maneira:
Você precisa Instalar serviço de rede sem fio - the Wireless LAN Service, para tal:
1. Open Server Manager
2. Select Features | Add Feature
3. Select Wireless LAN Service
4 Install, Close and Done
Isto fixa este problema, fica a dica. Para o windows server 2012, veja neste link como proceder:
